Yealink YMCS Completes Penetration Testing by NetSPI, Demonstrating Top-tier Security Standards
Yealink, a leading provider of collaboration and communication solutions, announces that its Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS) has completed the thorough penetration testing conducted by NetSPI, the global leader in offensive security. This recent development underscores Yealink’s dedication to delivering reliable, secure, and trusted products and services to its valued customers.
Yealink’s Device Management Cloud Service is a cloud-based solution for managing Yealink voice, video, and headset devices, addressing complexities related to provisioning, management, and troubleshooting. The solution offers system-wide oversight and addresses specific needs by region, user group, or device model. Automatic deployment upon network connection eliminates traditional costly deployment, while timely troubleshooting enhances productivity.
To Provide a More Secure Cloud Solution
The penetration testing commissioned with NetSPI aimed to identify and address potential vulnerabilities that might impact the security and integrity of YMCS and data. NetSPI implemented a combination of automated testing tools, its innovative PTaaS platform, and hands-on penetration testing to evaluate YMCS’s defenses against real-world cyberattack scenarios. The testing, which concluded on June 6, 2023, strengthened the security controls and amplified the fact that when users choose YMCS, they are opting for a platform backed by verifiable security checks.
Yealink’s dedication to ensuring safety extends beyond just that. A major step forward is the YMCS’s migration to Microsoft Azure, which provides a robust infrastructure to protect information from unauthorized access and ensure data security. Moreover, the company is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and completed GDPR compliance assessment and SOC2 Type2 audit, both conducted by independent esteemed third parties.
“We have always been dedicated to providing communication and collaboration solutions that our clients can trust,” said Alvin Liao, the VP, Head of Product of Yealink. “This successful penetration testing by NetSPI is a testament to our commitment. We will continue to push boundaries to ensure that our platforms remain robust, secure, and, above all, reliable.”
